ANDRAS ELLENDERSEN

Andras Ellendersen is a Brazilian-Faroese composer, visual artist, and cultural anthropologist.
His works have been premiered in several countries, including Germany, Brazil, Denmark, and Poland, and performed by ensembles such as Kwartludium (PL), Det Fynske Kammerkor (DK), and Camerata Antiqua de Curitiba (BR).

In 2023, Andras was among the prizewinners at the Danish KORAL23 composition competition for his piece Den blinde, røde orm. The following year, he represented the Faroe Islands at the ISCM World New Music Days.

As Andras Atlason, he has a separate output of prog rock and jazz music, often authoring his own associated visual imagery.
​
His composition teachers include Samuel Andreyev, Harry Crowl, and Svend Hvidtfelt Nielsen. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Creation at UFPR (Brazil).
In addition to composing, Andras works as an arranger, singer, music educator, producer, and soloist.
